David Cordish to Throw Out First Pitch
HANOVER, Md., April 1, 2017 -- In a winning play on its legendary reputation for fun and spontaneity, Live! Casino & Hotel tonight surprised hundreds of casino guests with a Baltimore Orioles ticket giveaway and celebrity encounter with Orioles Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer.
Following remarks by The Cordish Companies' Chairman and Casino owner, David Cordish, the legendary Jim Palmer, along with Cordish Managing Partner Joe Weinberg, led a parade around the casino floor, where every guest was treated to Orioles-themed giveaways, including a voucher for two tickets to the April 5, 2017, game between the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays. Cordish is slated to throw out the first pitch.
"For years, I have dreamed about throwing out the first pitch at an Orioles game in Camden Yards," said David Cordish. "It's going to be a great night for me and I wanted my casino family there to cheer me on. It's going to be a dream come true!"
Hundreds of Live! Casino guests will be rooting for the home team during the Wednesday night game from a special reserved section at Camden Yards.
