Maryland Live! Casino Slot Revenue Tops Mid-Atlantic Gaming Market for March 2013

Maryland Live! Casino generated the top slot revenue in the mid-Atlantic gaming market for March 2013 with $44,613,545, outperforming all other regional competitors. Compared to other facilities in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the property's net revenue was more than 20% higher than the next highest competitor. The results mark the strongest revenue month to date for Maryland Live! Casino, which opened to the public in June 2012.

One of the largest and most profitable casinos in the country, Maryland Live! Casino is now poised for a record-setting month in April with the addition of more than 100 live action table games, which opened to the public on April 11, 2013. The property also plans to open a new Poker Room with more than 50 traditional poker tables this Summer.

The State of Maryland is also well-positioned to benefit from the additional revenue generated from table games. Currently, the State receives an average of $1M per day in taxes from Maryland Live!, making it one of the highest taxpayers in the State. As of the end of March 2013, the State has already received $236M in taxes from Maryland Live! Casino, since its June 2012 opening.

Maryland Live! Casino is owned and operated by The Cordish Companies, which is actively vying for the final available gaming license in the City of Philadelphia, in order to develop a $425 million Live! Hotel & Casino in the Stadium District (in partnership with Greenwood Gaming). In addition, the Company has applied for a Category 2 license in Massachusetts and is currently in the process of evaluating several excellent sites within the State as possible locations for the casino.

"We're very proud of the world-class gaming, dining, and entertainment destination that we have created at Maryland Live! Casino," said Joe Weinberg, Managing Partner, The Cordish Companies. "The Cordish Companies has a long history of developing some of the most profitable, best-in-class casino resorts and entertainment districts in the country. Our intent is to leverage the level of success we are enjoying at Maryland Live! to create true destination resorts in other gaming jurisdictions."
