The Cordish Companies' Kansas City Power & Light District Presents $10,000 Donation to Operation Breakthrough from Tech N9ne Concert Ticket Sales

Kansas City, Mo. – The Cordish Companies’ Kansas City Power & Light District proudly presented a $10,000 donation today to Operation Breakthrough, a Kansas City-based, non-profit organization selected by the Carter Broadcast Group to receive a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales of the Tech N9ne concert held September 13, 2015.

Operation Breakthrough is the largest single-site early education child care and social services facility in the state of Missouri, serving over 400 children daily from Kansas City’s urban core. The organization’s mission is to help children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing a safe, loving and educational environment, while also empowering the children's families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.

Indie-rap superstar Tech N9ne performed his unrestrained “Special Effects” show on the Kansas City Live! Stage on Sunday, September 13, 2015 to a sold-out crowd of 5,000 fans. The Cordish Companies committed $2 of every ticket sold to be donated to Operation Breakthrough.
