Asian-Style Concept Will Offer Authentic Cuisine in a Casual Atmosphere
Norfolk, Va. (January 29, 2017) -- The Cordish Companies have announced that Luk Fu, which offers flavorful Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Thai cuisine, will be arriving at Waterside District in April 2017.
Luk Fu will provide a unique culinary experience packed with multiple, authentic Asian cuisine and influences. Featured menu items include sushi, ramen and dim sum, with a large selection of soups and noodles. Chefs from Japan, Thailand, Korea, China and Vietnam will use local seafood, produce, poultry and meats to create an excitingly diverse menu.
Luk Fu currently operates in Maryland at Maryland Live! Casino and welcomes millions of guests a year at that location. Waterside District will be its second location.

To celebrate Luk Fu's arrival, Waterside District held a Chinese Lion Dance in downtown Norfolk Sunday, January 29, 2017, ushering in good luck to coincide with the Chinese New Year. Traditional lion dancers paraded down Granby Street as the Waterside District team surprised passersby with fortune cookie announcements.
Luk Fu will be a part of The Market, a 30,000 square foot area that will be located in the center of Waterside District and feature a variety of dining and beverage options, along with open areas and seating. The Market will serve as the "hub" or central gathering place at Waterside District.
Luk Fu joins a collection of premier local and national brands with locations in The Market including Rappahannock Oyster Co., Cogan's Pizza, Carolina Cupcakery and Starr Hill. Additional eatery concepts and venues will be announced in the coming weeks.
