COUNTDOWN: Here are Louisville's Top Tourist Attractions
Kentucky's tourism industry generated $14.5 billion in economic impact in 2016.
The most recent industry report from the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet released in May 2017 shows that 192,697 jobs in Kentucky were supported by the tourism industry in 2016.
That's an increase of 5,925 jobs from 2015. Tourism-generated jobs provided wages of more than $3.2 billion to Kentucky workers in 2016.
In the Feb. 23 edition of Louisville Business First, we take a look at area tourist attractions — from a place to watch baseball bats being produced to learning about science or art to visiting many of the distilleries and watching bourbon being made. Spring break is coming up and if you are thinking about a staycation, some of these spots may be perfect to visit.
