High-Profile New Hotel Opening at Texas Rangers’ Much-Anticipated $1.1 Billion Ballpark Complex
Rooms With Field Views — and Five New Restaurants — are Coming
Live! by Loews, a unique new upscale hotel at the Texas Live! in Arlington mega development, is opening in August. The new 14-story hotel will have 300 guest rooms, 50,000 square feet of meeting space, and five restaurant and bar concepts.
The hotel, a collaboration between Loews, The Cordish Companies and the Texas Rangers, will also have a tower terrace, event lawn, outdoor infinity pool and private rooftop terrace to complement the Texas Live! development. The centerpiece of Texas Live! will be the Rangers’ new $1.1 billion ballpark, which is scheduled to open next season. The high-tech new stadium includes a retractable roof to make watching games in the heart of Dallas’ brutal summers an air-conditioned breeze.
Now, a high-profile new hotel is also coming into focus.
The five new restaurants at the Live! by Loews Hotel will include a classic steakhouse called Cut & Bourbon, which will serve a variety of cuts of meat all sourced locally, seafood and other game. Bar Bourbon will be the lobby lounge with a large bourbon selection and private bourbon lockers for aging.
The second bar, Arlington Clover Club, is an outdoor mixology bar with handcrafted cocktails and International and classic American food. A poolside bar and lounge with bites and drinks is named Soak. Rounding out the hotel offerings is River Market, an organic market featuring Arlington’s Salter Bros. coffee, fresh juice, sandwiches, salads and pastries.
The executive chef of the hotel is Mouhssine “Moose” Benhamacht, who has had several culinary roles with Loews Hotels & Co in Atlanta, Don CeSar, and Universal’s Aventura Hotel. He began his career working at Spice Market under world famous Chef Jean George Vongerichten.
The new $150 million flagship hotel will come with plenty of time to prepare for the opening of Globe Life Field, the new home of the Texas Rangers. There will be floor to ceiling glass windows looking out onto the field, something that baseball lovers will swoon over. The Toronto Blue Jays were the first franchise to have a hotel that looks out onto their field and those rooms with Rogers Center views remain extremely popular today.
