Rams Head Live! On Stage Among Top Club Venues
Rams Head Live! in Baltimore has earned the right to be called one of the World’s Top 10 Club Venues, based on Pollstar Magazine’s recent compilations of ticket sales worldwide.
The club, located in Baltimore’s Power Plant Live!, has sold 101,438 tickets through the first three quarters of 2008. The total gives them the ninth highest total in the world, one spot below the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colo., and one spot ahead of Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, <st1:country-region>Belgium</st1:country-region>.
The Recher Theatre in Towson is the Baltimore area’s second highest ranked venue on the list, posting at No. 80 with 32,089 tickets sold. The Rams Head On Stage at 33 West St. in Annapolis is Maryland’s second highÂest ranked venue, selling 58,255 tickets.
Rams Head Live! opened its doors in December 2004, and has quickly emerged as one of the mid-Atlantic’s best nightclubs. The 26,000-square-foot club features five bars, three food stations and 44 monitors and screens. The club has played host to some of the music world’s most impressive acts, including Jay-Z, Natasha Bedingfield, Kings of Leon, Queens of the Stone Age, The Roots, Morrisey, Lucinda Williams, Rise Against, Marilyn Manson and Bob Weir and Rat Dog.
Rams Head Live! finished last year at No. 13 in Pollstar’s list.
