The Cordish Companies' Maryland Live! Casino and the MD Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA) Host Record Number of Participants During Semi-Annual Minority Outreach Fair
Hanover, MD – A record 650 registrants from small, minority and women-owned businesses converged today at The Cordish Companies’ Maryland Live! Casino to meet with dozens of prime companies interested in doing business with them during the semi-annual MINORITY OUTREACH FAIR, hosted by Maryland Live! and the Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA).
The collaborative partnership between The Cordish Companies and the Md. Washington Minority Companies Association (MWMCA) has produced regular minority outreach events, where attendees have the opportunity to meet with prime entities, including other Maryland casinos, construction companies, government agencies, public utilities, and suppliers, who provide information on current and upcoming work and/or contract opportunities.
Approximately 45 prime companies, including the Maryland Port Administration, Casino at Ocean Downs, National Security Agency, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, Clark Construction Group, Hollywood Casino, Gilbane Building Company, Rocky Gap Casino & Resort, Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs, PNC Bank, Bank of America, Hensel Phelps, Whiting-Turner, the MD Dept. of Transportation, Tutor Perini Building Corp., the MD Dept. of Human Resources and the MD Lottery & Gaming Control Agency, among others, participated in today’s event, which also included 1:1 Matchmaking Sessions.
The Cordish Companies has always received high praise and recognition from the MWMCA for its ongoing support of minority and women-owned firms.
