XFINITY Live! Debuts Expanded Venue
You asked for it, so XFINITY Live! delivered.
XFINITY Live!, the entertainment venue near the sports complex, makes it grand-opening debut Friday, featuring additions guests have been asking for for some time, according to Glenn Sutch, COO of XFINITY Live! Philadelphia and regional marketing and promotions director of Entertainment Consulting International.
The entertainment venue underwent nearly four months of renovations and expansion this year that includes an expanded Victory Beer Hall with 24 new taps and about 160 additional seats outside, totaling 500 seats at the pub and 52,000 square feet "of expanded fun," Sutch said.
Outside of the expanded beer hall is a permanent stage, which will feature regional and national bands every Friday and Saturday.
And what's a Philadelphia food and entertainment venue without a cheesesteak? Geno's Steaks replaces Original Philly Cheesesteak Co.
Sutch said every part of the process — from design elements to the employees creating the perfect Geno's cheesesteak — was overseen by Geno's to have that authentic feel.
The PBR Bar & Grill underwent a few renovations as well, including drop-down tables replacing the large booths, a new VIP lounge that guests can reserve in advance as well as an outdoor deck that was once used as temporary space.
The largest renovation and addition to XFINITY Live!, however, is 1100 Social by Chef Jason Cichonski, replacing Spectrum Grill. Sutch said guests wanted a more guest-friendly approach, both in the menu's price range and atmosphere — something 1100 Social satisfies.
Sutch did not disclose the cost for the XFINITY Live! renovation. The venue remained open during the construction process.
