Fourth Street Live! Announces MOZZARIA!

Local Favorite Opens New Concept at Former Red Star Tavern Space

LOUISVILLE, KY – MOZZARIA, LLC, Fourth Street Live! and The Cordish Companies proudly announce the debut of MOZZARIA, celebrating its opening on Wednesday, May 2 at Fourth Street Live! From the owners of local favorite, MOZZ Mozzarella Bar & Enoteca, MOZZARIA – a casual Italian Eatery & Birreria Gastro Pub will serve Roman style thin crust pizzas, classic pasta dishes and Tuscan inspired grill fare and will also feature an authentic New York-style delicatessen and Mozzarella Bar. MOZZARIA is a part of a string of new openings in the Fourth Street district including the recently-launched Mosaic Nightclub & Lounge and PBR Louisville, as well as Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant (debuting May 21). The Italian restaurant will occupy 6,200 square feet at the former Red Star Tavern location between Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge and the Meidinger office tower and will employ approximately 50 employees.

The creator of MOZZARIA, LLC is renowned in the Louisville region for his original concept, MOZZ, recently voted “Best New Restaurant” by Louisville Magazine and awarded OpenTable’s “Diners’ Choice Winner” in 2011. Spokesperson and President and Founder of MOZZARIA, LLC Matthew Antonovich quoted, “We will offer the same authentic, quality Italian fare at MOZZ’s ‘baby brother’ location at Fourth Street Live!”. The 200-seat, full-service eatery will serve lunch and dinner, featuring “culinary-driven” cuisine with a concerted focus on value. House favorites at MOZZARIA will includeRoman style pizza, Italian/American classic pastas, chicken scaloppini, and Tuscan steak with garlic butter and lemon aioli – a fresh grilled fish entrée will rotate daily. Three different types of fresh mozzarella will be served at the Mozzarella Bar, while MOZZ2GO-DELI, the New York style delicatessen located within the restaurant space, will offer grilled Paninis, salumi heros, and hot, hand carved corned beef and pastrami sandwiches in the tradition of Katz’s and Carnegie Delis. The restaurant will also make authentic Italian gelato in-house.
