Waterside District Celebrates Two Major Milestones

Norfolk, VA – The Cordish Companies and the City of Norfolk announced two major milestones in the construction and revitalization of the new Waterside District retail and entertainment complex.
The commencement of demolition of the annex building, which was added to the original Waterside in the 1990s, will begin at 10am on Monday, May 16. When completed, in approximately two weeks, the Waterside building will return to its original historic footprint. The public is invited to share in this milestone by attending the commencement of demolition on Monday, May 16 at 10am.
Monday also marks the second milestone in the revitalization of Waterside with all demolition of the interiors, having been 100% completed, of the historic building at a cost of approximately $2 million.
