BALTIMORE, MD - The Cordish Cos. and Maryland Live Casino announced they expect to give approximately $1 million in charitable donations through its newly launched "Play $10 / Give $10" initiative.
In a release, the company said that for the month of January, the first $10 any patron of the Hanover casino plays at either a slot machine or table game will go into the company's "philanthropic giving fund."
According to the company, the fund has given donations to organizations like Susan G. Komen Maryland, the USO of Baltimore-Washington D.C., and the American Red Cross in the past.
"Maryland is not just a place of business to Live! Casino, it is the longtime home of the Cordish family, which owns and operates Live!," said Robert J. Norton, President, Cordish Global Gaming Group. "'PLAY $10 / GIVE $10' is another demonstration that we are local and here to stay."
