Additional tenants revealed for downtown development

CLEVELAND, OH (February 9, 2017)  – Setting the stage for Downtown Cleveland’s most anticipated mixed-use, high-rise development, nuCLEus, Stark Enterprises announces a dynamic lineup of dining and entertainment-oriented tenants that will infuse Cleveland’s Gateway District with an exciting array of options that are all new to Ohio. 

The property’s primary anchor, Cleveland Live!, will be a 47,780-square-foot multi-concept entertainment venue, developed by The Cordish Companies, one of the largest and most successful operators of dining, entertainment and hospitality districts and concepts in the world.  Welcoming over 50 million visitors a year, Cordish’s Live! Districts are among the highest profile sports, entertainment, gaming and hotel destinations in the country. Cleveland’s dynamic dining scene just got even better with the premier mix of national names coming to nuCLEus. Set to open its first Ohio location, HopCat will specialize in offering a wide range of regional, global and Belgian beers in its 8,500-square-foot space. The full menu offers an eclectic variety of dishes and small bites, including HopCat’s signature Crack Fries, recently named amongst the Top 10 French Fries in America by Food Network Magazine. 

Shake Shack, the modern day “roadside” burger stand, has also signed on to open its first-ever Ohio location in a 3,000-sqaure-foot space at nuCLEus. Known for its 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers and flat-top Vienna beef dogs, 100% all-natural cage-free chicken, spun-fresh frozen custard, crinkle cut fries, craft beer and wine and more, Shake Shack is sure to become an instant fixture in Downtown Cleveland’s Gateway neighborhood. Starbucks is expanding its presence in Downtown Cleveland at nuCLEus with the opening of one of its first Starbucks Reserve Bar Cafés in America. This new-to-market concept will occupy approximately 3,000 square feet.

Starbucks Reserve Bar is a totally new store experience that brings the Starbucks Reserve brand forward to feature its rarest, small-lot coffees. Reserve Bar is operated entirely by Coffee Masters and combines craft, theatre and story inside a Starbucks high profile store.  Offerings include Reserve beverages and coffees, hand pulled espresso, siphon, Clover, Nitro Reserve cold brew, pour over, coffee press, Chemex, Reserve merchandise and special events. Reserve Bar stores include the full core Starbucks menu/engine, so customers can enjoy everything they already love about Starbucks. As Starbucks leader Howard Schultz transitions out of his current role, he plans to dedicate his attention moving forward to growing the company’s new super premium brand and chain of high-end Reserve Bar Café stores. 

nuCLEus will also feature over 200,000 square feet of office space, with previously-announced Cleveland business law firm, Benesch, committed to expanding its downtown presence in over 100,000 square feet of space. 

A seven-story parking garage, which will include approximately 2,100 spaces, will serve the residents, hotel guests and visitors at nuCLEus, while also providing much-needed parking space for visitors to the Gateway District.
