The Cordish Cos. is bringing its entertainment concept to Cleveland.
Cleveland Live!, piggybacking off other venues the Baltimore developer has delivered across the U.S., will encompass nearly 48,000 square feet in a new project proposed in downtown Cleveland's Gateway District. The entertainment district will be part of the mixed-use nuCLEus development planned by Cleveland-based Stark Enterprises.
Cleveland Live! will sit across from the Quicken Loans Arena, home of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cordish said the venue will feature local, regional and national dining and entertainment concepts and will be a gathering place before sporting events and concerts.
Leases announced for nuCLEus include Ohio's first Shake Shack; HopCat, an 8,500-square-foot beer bar and restaurant; and a Starbucks Reserve Bar.
In total, plans for nuCLEus include 200,000 square feet of office space. Cleveland law firm Benesch has committed to taking 100,000 square feet. Apartments and a hotel are also part of the plans.
A seven-story parking garage, which will include 2,100 spaces.
Cordish has developed its Live! entertainment districts across the country, including Power Plant Live! in Baltimore, XFINITY Live! in Philadelphia and Fourth Street Live! in Louisville, Ky.
