Maybe the best thing at new Live! by Loews hotel in Arlington: swim-up bar

The new Live! By Loews hotel in Arlington is open with a total of five eateries, but one that really stands out: a swim-up pool bar.

Located at 1600 E. Randol Mill Rd., this is the 14-story hotel that's adjacent to the Texas! Live entertainment district. Everyone with the exclamation points. It's a joint venture between Loews, The Cordish Companies, and the Texas Rangers.

But as a release points out, Live! By Loews is its own day-to-night destination, thanks to its five food and beverage concepts, now open, serving coffee, breakfast, cocktails, and elevated wild game dishes.

Elevated wild game dishes must be the fanciest thing they have, for it to get a special mention in the release.

To jog your memory, here are the five:

Cut & Bourbon is the all-day restaurant offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, with steaks, wild game, and seafood, priced from $25 to $85. Their schtick is steak with deluxe sauces and toppings such as lobster and crab Oscar.

Bar Bourbon is a 360-degree lobby bar with views of AT&T Stadium that specializes in bourbon and whiskey, complete with private bourbon lockers. It's a full bar, and has a "build-your-own old-fashioned" section where you choose your spirit, flavor profile, and other options. So interactive.

Arlington Clover Club is an outdoor mixology lounge next to the main lobby, with more stadium views, plus chandeliers and water features. There's a menu of international and American light bites such as lamb satay, and a sharable Punch of the Month.

River Market is a grab-and-go market with sandwiches and pastries, and a coffee program with beans from Salter Bros. Original creations include cold brew with coconut milk and coconut syrup, and espresso with praline.

Last but most definitely not least, the swim-up bar: Called Soak, it's in the infinity pool, at the end of a hidden walkway guided by a neon sign. Sounds magical.

It has beer and wine, plus:

seven cocktails including a Hurricane, Margarita, and Gin & Tonic, on the rocks or frozen
a trio of sangrias, available solo or sharable
a quartet of daiquiris, available frappéd or frozen
poolside fare, including fruit bowls, flatbreads, and sandwiches

Surrounded by daybeds and outdoor lounges, the pool features a 17-by-10 foot, double-facing television for streaming live sports games and dive-in movie nights. Private cabanas are available for reservation.
