Breaking: Pointe Orlando adds new 3 new concepts for 2024
New York-based Brixmor Property Group Inc. (NYSE: BRX) and Baltimore-based The Cordish Cos.' Live! Hospitality & Entertainment are bringing a trio of new entertainment assets — with even more on the way later — to Pointe Orlando on International Drive.
A new 36,000-square-foot immersive indoor and outdoor space will be developed at Pointe Orlando that will feature restaurant and bar venues, according to a news release.
- Sports & Social: The restaurant and bar focused on sports entertainment, live music and social games will serve cocktails, beers, sandwiches, burgers, tacos and more. It will feature LED display that will show multiple games and sporting events at once. It also will offer live music throughout the week, as well as social games such as skee-ball, foosball, pop-a-shot, arcade games, shuffleboard and Beirut.
- PBR Cowboy Bar: The entertainment bar will feature the spirit of professional bull riding (PBR) with a mechanical riding bull, multiple signature bars and private VIP booths.
- Live! Plaza: The outdoor venue between the other two venues will serve as an outdoor gathering place for events, music and more.
The new additions are set to open in 2024. No other details of construction or cost were included.
Two other new concepts also are planned for Pointe Orlando, but were not yet announced.
"In addition to our current food and beverage and entertainment offerings, Sports & Social, PBR Cowboy Bar and the outdoor Live! Plaza will elevate the overall experience to new heights and will set a new standard on I-Drive and beyond for locals and visitors to the Orlando area,” said James Taylor, CEO/president of Brixmor Property Group, in a prepared statement.
Reed Cordish, principal of The Cordish Cos. and CEO of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, credited Brixmor's leadership, the reputation of Pointe Orlando and the evolution of the tourist corridor for the project.
Pointe Orlando is one of I-Drive's main shopping, dining and entertainment districts with more than 400,000 square feet of commercial space. It's also part of the popular I-Drive tourist corridor that historically welcomes 15 million visitors a year.
