Maryland Live! At Arundel Mills Unveils Plans for Nationally-Acclaimed Restaurants & Music Venue
Award Winning Restaurateur Bobby Flay Highlights World Class Complex
BALTIMORE, MD (October 14, 2010) – The Cordish Company revealed details today for its world-class gaming and entertainment facility, Maryland Live! at Arundel Mills.
Three nationally-acclaimed restaurants will highlight the complex - the award-winning chef, restaurateur, television personality, and cookbook author Bobby Flay, the upscale casual dining restaurant The Cheesecake Factory, and the largest upscale steak house company in the world Ruth’s Chris Steak House. The project will also feature the world famous Baltimore-based crab house, Obrycki’s Crab House and Seafood Restaurant, and a new live music venue operated by Annapolis-based Rams Head.

Bobby Flay is known to millions of fans as the resident chef for the "The Early Show on CBS." Crowned Iron Chef America in 2003, Flay also hosts several other popular television series for the Food Network including "Throw down with Bobby Flay" and "Boy Meets Grill," named after his very successful third cookbook. However his top priority remains his restaurants, an impressive group that currently includes Bar Americain in New York City, Bobby Flay Steak in Atlantic City, Bobby’s Burger Palace in New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, and Mesa Grill in Las Vegas, New York City and the Bahamas.

The Cheesecake Factory is an upscale casual dining concept that offers their guests an experience they wouldn’t soon forget – generous portions with unlimited, inventive menu selections all made fresh with quality ingredients, including a dessert menu boasting over 40 varieties of cheesecake, and served in a warm and casually comfortable setting. The Cheesecake Factory will feature approximately 10,000 square feet of floor space.
Founded in New Orleans by Ruth Fertel in 1965, Ruth’s Chris specializes in USDA Prime grade steaks served in Ruth’s Chris signature fashion … “sizzling.” Guests of Maryland Live! will be able to enjoy New Orleans-inspired appetizers, the finest U.S.D.A. Prime steaks, fresh seafood and classic desserts, all complemented by an award-winning wine list. Ruth’s Chris at Maryland Live! will feature 8,000 square feet of floor space with seating for 300.

A world famous local seafood proprietor in Baltimore with a reputation for quality, Obrycki's is famous for its menu that features Maryland’s famous fresh soft-shell blue crabs, crab cakes, crab soup, crab salad wraps, shrimp salads, and broiled shrimp and crab meat. The new restaurant in Maryland Live! will be Obrycki’s fourth location in the <st1:country-region w:st="on">United States</st1:country-region>.
Since Rams Head entered the music arena with the Rams Head On Stage concept, they have seen unprecedented growth and success. Rams Head Live! will be an extension of the Rams Head On Stage concept and hopes to add more diversity and variety to the Rams Head musical line-up. The new venue will feature live jazz, blues and classic rock acts and provide visitors the ability to interact in an intimate sentiment with nationally and internationally renowned touring artists. Rams Head Live! will feature fixed seating for approximately 300 in an intimate cabaret style design with several stepped viewing levels of the stage.
These first-class venues will all be constructed with the gaming entertainment complex which will commence construction once the zoning to accommodate gaming in Anne Arundel County is approved by County residents on November 2nd.
