Restaurant Re-Vamps Menu in Power & Light District
'Vinino', an Italian restaurant in the Power & Light District, is opening 'Vinino's Pizza Bar' Thursday. Chicago-based Sal Difatta brings his pizza-making skills to the new menu.
"Teaming my specialty pizza with a quality restaurant like Vinino is a wonderful opportunity," said Difatta. "I strive for every experience to be memorable both for the quality of the pizza and the incredible atmosphere. We are going to create amazing pizza and have a lot of fun doing it."
The restaurant, which has been open in the Power & Light district for three years, started making the improvements on August 17th. Improvements include a new wood-burning pizza oven for the district's large crowds, a bigger patio area, and new equipment that restaurant brass hopes will be better for live music and watching your favorite sporting events.
"Vinino has been both a financial and critical success and we are proud to enhance its prominence and make this further commitment to downtown," said Jim Watry, operating partner of Vinino. "Vinino's mainstay pasta dishes will now be complimented by the prodigious talents of Sal Difatta whose skill in creating memorable pizza is perhaps only equaled by his prodigious personality!"
